OK. So we’ve all heard it’s going to be cold tomorrow morning. As in 1 degree Fahrenheit.
The reality that is winter couldn’t have struck on a better day, in our humble opinion. With the cold comes that brilliant sunshine reflecting of the snow covered ground that reminds a person why they live through winters in this fine state. And there’s no better place to appreciate that scene than with the crowd that gathers before the door opens at Saint Agnes Baking Co. tomorrow morning. Fine folks, every last one. And would you really want to disappoint this fine young boy, pictured below, preparing mincemeat Thursday afternoon for coffeecake baked on Friday?
All that fruit, macerating in booze overnight… yum. Don’t make him cry! Come on down! And it wasn’t just him working hard for Saturday. All the bakers and packers logging extra hours, and our pastry team working on an assortment of Holiday goodies, including Buche de Noel.
Want to see what the final product looks like? You can! Get here tomorrow, 10 a.m. to Noon. (iPod photography for the slideshow by Viper!)
